What is a Sewing Machine Bobbin?

A sewing machine bobbin is a small, essential component of a sewing machine that plays a crucial role in the sewing process.

The bobbin holds the lower thread. As the sewing machine operates, the top thread from the needle interacts with the thread from the bobbin to create a stitch. The bobbin thread is pulled up through the fabric by the action of the needle and forms a loop with the top thread, which is then locked by the sewing machine's mechanism to create a secure stitch. Without the bobbin, the sewing machine would not be able to complete its primary function of stitching fabric together.
